Elizabeth Cadwalader

Studio 224

Elizabeth Cadwalader, a native Baltimorean, is primarily a landscape painter with some still life and interiors. She paints from life whenever possible, either from still life setups or en plein air, and also has a small press for printmaking. During her travels, she makes sketches and small watercolor or gouache paintings which are later the basis for larger studio paintings.

Cadwalader has studied at the Escuela de Bellas Artes, Cuernavaca, Mexico, and taken classes at Towson University, University of Notre Dame of Maryland, MICA, the Mitchell and Zoll Schools, and workshops around the U. S. Her work has been shown in solo, juried, and group exhibits, winning several awards, and is included in private collections in the United States and Europe.
